today is the last day of the Alton Brown tour (at least this leg of it). I have NEVER had a case of senioritis like i have right now, and I finally realized why… since I’ve gotten involved with Alton and Mythbusters and these one nighter tours… since last oct I’ve been to 101 cities… holy shit… I thought living on tour for 10 years straight was crazy, but I almost can’t believe I just did that! I know there are people who tour like this all the time… and those fine men and women are better than I am, cuz this boy needs a break in the worst way!
Time to go home and make some art!!!
So I went to the Dr today… I have Tennis Elbow. Funny, cuz I haven’t picked up a tennis racket in 30 years… But I digress…
I have kettleballs out here with me on the AB to r, and I was actually taking time each day to exercise in a dressing room or wherever I could find a space… Then last week during load in I had really sharp pains in my left elbow…
Needless to say the exercise ground to a halt. I am doing everything possible me to make this all better by the time I get home. My shop is fairly well set up for one person, but that person needs 2 working arms….
Wish me luck everyone!!!
Always good to be back in Dayton, OH. I started my touring career in 1996 right here in Dayton Ohio… I remember I went to the mall in FL and asked what people wore where it was cold… so I bought that stuff… and subsequently froze my ass off! But I soon learned how to survive and thrive in the big bad world of touring, and here I am, 18 years later, still goin’.
Todays find of the day was Lucky’s Taproom and Eatery in the Oregon District. Great hole in the wall dive, an amazing selection of regional craft beers, and a fairly decent menu.
Tomorrow is a day off in Wilmington. another WhooHoo!!!
